One of the oldest cultivated sweet peas, dating back to the late 1600s in Sicily, treasured for its rich colour, intense fragrance, and historic charm.
Its smaller, graceful flowers are deep maroon-purple standards paired with indigo-blue wings. The blooms may be modest in size compared to modern varieties, but they more than make up for it with their powerful, heady scent—often considered one of the strongest of all sweet peas.
