Rodgersia pinnata Bronze Peacock
Rodgersia pinnata Bronze Peacock
A dramatic and luxurious perennial prized for its bold foliage and elegant flower plumes. It emerges in spring with glossy, deep bronze to near-black leaves that slowly mature to rich green while retaining a dark, metallic sheen—creating a striking contrast in shady borders. In early to midsummer, tall, upright stalks bear airy clusters of soft pink flowers that rise gracefully above the foliage, adding vertical interest and a romantic touch.
This cultivar forms a dense, clumping mound 24 to 36 inches tall and wide, and thrives in part shade to full shade with consistently moist, rich soil. Ideal for woodland gardens, damp borders, or beside water features.
